Heather McGuire

I love all things nature, especially gardening! I get immense satisfaction from taking a tiny seed through all its phases, all the way to the table. I also enjoy seed-saving, composting in place and propagation; as well as giving thrown away objects a second life at the garden.  I am currently building cutting gardens at my home to fulfill my dream of having fresh cut flowers year round…with a future dream of buying land to start Heather Farms Flowers.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, I moved to Central Florida in 1988 as Director of Marketing for Time Warner Cable. I retired in 2000 after our daughter was born. We homeschooled while traveling between Sanford and homes in Colorado, Maine and New Smyrna Beach while my husband worked remotely before it was a thing. I am recently widowed, downsized and figuring out my new normal one day at a time.
