Morgen Aiken

I was born and raised in Sanford and am the youngest of ten children.  I took a six year hiatus from local life when I moved to San Francisco in the 80’s but found myself back in my old stomping grounds by ’89.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Rollins College and have sung all over the U.S.  I teach voice, beginning piano and music theory when I’m not working in the children’s photography industry.   I have a keen interest in geopolitics, the environment, meteorology and beekeeping.  I love to read and dabble at writing.  I got into gardening about 25 years ago and have learned so much in that time, not just about vegetables, but also ornamentals and the basics of landscape design.  I have two Australian Shepherd Fur Babies whom we love to play with and take on long walks.  I believe that Community Gardens are not only a valuable resource for growing veggies, but they also have the ability to build a stronger community.
